Everything You Need To Know About Pokemon's 25th Anniversary Release
As a dealer for Pokemon products, we sometimes gain access to industry-specific news which has not yet been been made obvious to the general public. One of the more pressing mysteries customers keep asking us about is Pokemon's 25th Anniversary release. Unlike previous expansions, Pokemon has decided to do things a little bit differently with this expansion.
It appears that the traditional product formats are not going to be available for the 25th Anniversary release. The only product dealers have access to are 'Partner Packs' which contain the following:
- Two Booster Packs
- Three Oversized Promotional Cards
For the time-being, there are no Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Boxes, or Booster Packs. It is unclear if these will become available in the future.
The partner packs have seven different versions (Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto). These versions are not going to be released all at once. Please see below for the expected release dates.
- Alola (April 2nd)
- Kalos (May 7th)
- Unova (June 4th)
- Sinnoh (July 9th)
- Hoenn (August 6th)
- Johto (September 3rd)
- Kanto (October 8th)
As it stands, this is the best information we are currently able to share with you guys. Please note that these dates are approximations and can change due to a variety of factors. If you're going to be pre-ordering, please be mindful of the expected delivery dates as some of these will not even be releasing until we are reaching the end of the year.
